Nasal Polyps


The nasal sinus cavities are lined with mucosa made up of cells that produce mucus. They are: maxillary sinuses located behind the eyes, frontal sinuses under the eyes and ethmoid. The maxillary location is the most common. The permanent inflammation of these cavities leads to the development of polyps.
